Okay, back from the dead to pimp a tv-show. What funz.

Okay, I dunno if any one of you have seen the series "Pushing Daisies"
but I'll tell you now that it's the most delightful little thing on tv!

The main character Ned (Lee Pace) can revive the dead by his touch. Plants, animals, even humans. But after a minute has passed, the revival of one will lead to a death of another. Ned can put the dead back to being dead if he touches them a second time, and if this is done within the minute, there are no deadly consequences to anyone in the proximity.

The beauty of the series is that it's like a fairytale, weird and wonderful, morbid but magical. It seems very british, which it is not, but adds a certain cozyness. It's got a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy type of narration (by Jim Dale) which takes the viewer to all these quirky sideroads of detail at every other turn. The characters are somewhat delightfully stereotypical but also very detailed.

Ned for example is emotionally detached from everyone bacause of his "gift". He makes pies for a living and has this pie restaurant called "The Pie Hole" and he cannot pet his dog because he has revived it from the dead so if he touches it, it will die again.

Chi McBride's character Emerson Cod(^) is the reason I started watching the series. I love Chi McBride!:D Emerson is a grumpy, but in a way lovable, private investigator who finds out about Ned's ability and they make a deal: They split the reward money if Ned revives the victims for a minute. It's a lot easier to crack a case when you can ask the victim who murdered them:) Emerson also knits. He fashioned himself handgun cases out of red knit(!). Plus he has the best quotes: "Bitch, I was in the proximity." "The fun part is counting my money in the bubble bath".

Charlotte ("Chuck") is the female lead (Anna Friel, british). She's revived from the dead which means Ned can't touch her and they of course like each other. Their love is so pure! She's adorable! At first thought she was Zooey Deschanel from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but she's not, just very like her, but if possible even cuter than Zooey:) She always asks the revived dead if they have any last words or wishes, thus spending their valuable minute, thus making Emerson a very annoyed investigator.

Blaah blaah blaah
I love it,
coming from Sub January 2009,
watch it:)

Aaargh.
We were supposed to move next week. Our friend can get us a van from his work for free, and now he says he'll get it for saturday, THIS saturday... Free car is a free car, but, a lot of packing is also a lot of FURIOUS packing, at least it is now:D
Nah, it's gonna be fine:)

On other news, the TMNT-fandom is probably the best fandom in the world:D Right after Final Fantasy and the Invisible Man.

For now, I've mainly looked at these great fanarts from ~Anticia and a few others from DA but aww man I love it already. I love their charasteristics, I can recognise them without the bandanacolor, go me. I just have to be careful diving into fanfiction, with every fandom there's all sorts of weird stuff around, and in this case, turtlecest...O_O

In fandoms, the word platonic doesn't appear to exist:D

I'll leave you
with this avatar.

*sigh* HP-fandom, the times we had...

Still drawing everyday. This one is 050608. I'm stuck with mermaids for a while:)
But now I've gotta draw lots of dwarfs. Lots and lots...O_O Maybe I'll tell you about it later.

Edit: Just some things that bothered me about the picture, corrected.

I don't know if you've seen this guy but if not, NOW'S ABOUT TIME!
ThatGuyWithTheGlasses!

He's most famous for his "5-second-movies", which are short trailer-like clips that summarise a whole movie in a ridiculously funny way.

An example of my many favourites! Take your pick:
Harry Potter,
Star Wars or
The Lion King.

I can't get enough of this guy! If I'm in need of a good laugh I go watch his videos. He has struggled to keep his videos up in YouTube because they "violated copyrights" but that's debatable. Anyways, now he has his own site and loads of new material. I'm so glad:D Beside the 5-second movies he's done some very funny original videos too. The site is just so overburdened with visitors Sysis becomes a sad bunny. But it's all good:)

I'd be happy if you liked him but if not, well, screw you:D
Over and out.

I did this IQ test, and I got a fairly good score, but I SO SUCKED in one part! I've done these tests before but they've never had a section for short term memory. EPIC FAIL!:D It seemed impossible to even get to the whole section because there's a example first (so you get the hang of it) you have to get right in order to proceed. It took me several minutes to get even that right and it wasn't even scored. Ugh!

Total score 119 and short term memory as my "weakness"... No shit:D

This just reminded me of a stereotype I've been spreading about some of my schoolmates being so artistically scatterbrained it's sometimes difficult not to laugh. Now... I do realize I myself can forget the beginning of a five word sentence in half a second even if I'm paying attention. Pot calling the kettle... uhm, I forgot...

Also if your not into an IQ test, check this out. It's a simple, fun test that only takes you one (1) minute:)

Enjoy!

I thought I'd share my comic with you. Done a few weeks ago in a crashcource of sorts. It doesn't really have a plot, it's more visual and emotion based, but, well, that's what I like:)

If you enjoy, I'm glad.
Done with pencil and shaded with grey in Photoshop.

Okay, I was telling you about the t-shirt design contest we were having in our class. Well, now we have our deadline.

We have a week... no, actually six days 'cause the design has to be printed and last chance to print it is a day before. So we have six days to finish the design, with a program we do not know how to use and we do not own, but, here's the kicker, our class has two groups and the other group has two weeks... We have six days. And it is a competition.

Yeeeaah, that's what I thought.
Life is.

Let's see how this goes. We (obviously) let the teacher know how we felt about this insanity but he didn't promise anything, but he might change our deadline to later, perhaps.

Gah.
*zeeeen-attempt*

(work in progress (not to do with the t-shirt (neccesarily...)))

We had two great speakers/lecturers at out school this week.

One of them was Mika Launis, you probably know him from the cover illustrations of the finnish Harry Potters. The lecture was unstuctured and akward if anything:D He was embarrassing showing us pictures with out pc, cause he has ever used anything but a mac:) But I think it was great anyways, I was exited to have him there. One thing he said about the HP covers was that because he does not like repeating himself he got fed up with doing the covers after a while:DD I don't remember if he used those words exactly but c'mon you can see it! But I like his style and I think the newest cover of HP is really nice.

The other guy who came and spoke with us was Jouni Väänänen the only finnish guy in the lafraise crew. Lafraise is Europe’s largest t-shirt design site. You can upload your desing there for competition and every week 3-4 desings accoarding to popular wote and a jury desition get printed. AND, get this, the desinger get to keep their copyright to the design, lafraise only asks for limited copyright for 500 shirts, AND the desinger also gets 1000 euros. wtf mate.

So, this is the exxxiting part: we will have a competition in our class cortesy of Jouni and lafraise. We have to make a t-shirt design, and one of them get's printed to all of us! For free. Yay! Everybody's exited as hell. I'm looking forward to learning alot from this.

I already got scetching. These probably will not have anything to do with the t-shirt, but at least I got started with something!

I'll see how this goes. And I'll be shamelesly pimpin' lafraise:)
